Operation Information : Snowball's Chance Episode 2
Hey there.  Here's some stuff I'm willing to share on the new game.

GUI, game user interface, or gaming under the influence?
These and other important questions will not be answered here!  Ehh it's just some
stuff on the GUI.
Here's the players health indicator, located in the lower left hand of the screen.
The picture on the left is how it looks when you start.  As you play on however,
you'll find things that will increase your health, as seen in the picture to the right.
Think Metroid and energy tanks.
This is your Gimmie counter, it appears in the bottom center of the screen.
Gimmies are the monetary units in SbC.  You'll encounter a few characters with
useful items for sale.
It's the item indicator, which is in the lower right of the screen.  Picture 1 shows it at
the game's start.  As you build up your health, your character's size will begin to
increase, and you can carry more than one item at a time, as shown in picture 2.
Picture 3 shows a few items stored, with the selected on shown in the main bubble,
labeled.  You can mouse over the smaller ones and click to select them, or hit the
corresponding number on the keyboard.

Talkin' Smack, or Smack Talk.
Some hub bub on conversations in the game.  If anyone has
played the old Lucas Arts point and click adventures, that's
kinda what's going on here, minus the voices and your
character visually spouting off.
A character talks, you read,
then you're
presented with a list of responses which can
affect the outcome of the conversation, or how the
character perceives you, or larger things.  You might
recognize the rock fellow in these pictures from page 1.
Hit the lights.
Here's a few before and after shots of rooms which are considered finished.

Man, you ever notice how certain words look wrong when font is increased
or all capped.  Weird.

Rockin'
What's so special about a pile of rocks, and who stacks them up like that anyway?  If
one were to knock over a pile of stones, perhaps something valuable would be
contained within?  Not likely in the real world, but in a game world, oh yeah, loot ahoy!
 Smash those rocks!
Lootin'
So what kind of junk do you find in rock piles?  Here's a taste.
A dirty gimmie.  It has
a dusty sheen, and
nets you 1G.
An old gimmie.
They've seen better
days, but are worth 5G.
A regular gimmie.
They sparkle a little
brighter.  Worth 10G.
When the Winters start to make
their push for season change,
bits of their dominion's energy
begins to manifest.  This is a
small Winter essence, and will
give you 1 hit point when
collected.
Here's a large Winter
essence.  You get 10
hit points for
collecting one.
This is a Winter Soul.  It's literally a dead
Winter.  They typically don't stray far from
where they died.  You can collect these to
increase your size and strength.

Dumber than dirt!
As the title suggests, Clods are dumber than dirt, most likely
because that's what they're made of.  They do however enjoy
themselves as they plod around, doing pretty much nothing.  They
do get pretty territorial though, if they see someone invading their
personal space, watch them stomp angrily and then charge
headlong into battle.
Temper tantrum.
Charge!
Hit!
